A dear friend passed away two years ago, and recently his husband asked me to make a memorial quilt from some of his shirts. I had both T shirts and dress shirts to work with. The T shirt part wasn't big enough, so I added blocks pieced from three of the dress shirts and a border made from one more. My plan is to use the remaining dress shirts to make a pieced back.

I don't usually design quilts from scratch, so this one has been in the works for a long time.

I remember Bryan wearing all these shirts, so it's been a bit of an emotional project.

It's 80 X 64 (he wanted a quilt big enough to snuggle with on the couch), so it was hard to get a good picture in my little sewing room. :)
