Furniture Home Decorating Living Room

loving pretty clutter

I am not a minimalistic. Here is a picture of my living room. What do I need to make it cozy but chic? The living room has 2 loveseats, a bench, a French antique sideboard and an armoire. The dimensions are 21’ x 12’. I do prefer wallpaper on walls. Suggestions please.

Start with a nice rug, one that adds some color to the room. (I'm a sucker for orientals, myself). Then art for the walls - real art, not "wall decor" from a big box store.

Is one of your pillows a cat?

A rug is a good start, and then wallpaper if you want it. And art. You need stuff on your walls. In addition to more traditional framed art, sometimes antique plates are great hung up.

Everything in this room, including your cat, is the same color! Paint your walls or buy a rug - something to get some color in the room. Heck, put a bow on the cat (mine always wore bows at Xmas and Easter!).
