Planning on finishing the basement and still struggling with ceiling. Dont want drywall as we want access to ducts and pipes. Looking at drop ceiling but we have lots of soffits to build. Thinking about painting again. We currently have insulation in between joists. If we paint then that has to be removed. But not sure if that's a good idea. I figured we will probably keep basement cooler as we wont use it as often as other floors, so it seems like keeping insulation is right choice? I have also looked at wood strips that maybe we could have "rest" on supports. Dont know if that is enough to hide insulation? Any ideas??
