I'm up in Seattle. Have had mutliple failures of SPI windows and doors in the house which we built 11 years ago. Have previously owned homes built in 1920, and 1988. Never had a failure. Bracket fungus growing out between the mitered factory painted aluminum seam of two windows 6 years after moving in. Thrresholds on inswiinging doors which hold a bubble of water which then drains internally into the home, ruining walnut floors. And the bottoms of the windows hold water between the sash and the frame, rotting out the channel which holds the weather stripping. A total disaster.

I'm wondering if others have had similar, or are we an exception. These were installed in a new construction in 2014-2015. The SPI reps avoid answering my question: 'Did the company change how they make these windows since 2015, to elininate these failures?'
