mix chandelier with Sputnik?

I’m building new construction, goal is “urban glam”. Is it ok to make the downstairs open floor plan with large Sputnik in living room, similar style throughout that floor...but add a crystal chandelier that I already have to my sunroom?? If not, should I keep with the bronze throughout the home and sell the crystal chandeliers? Or, do I paint the crystal chandeliers and use in the spare bedrooms?

The chandelier isn’t the actual, bit I have 2 them that are similar. The Sputnik I’m in love with, just wasn’t sure if the styles were so drastically different if it would look cheap.

I’m putting a reclaimed vintage fireplace in the living room as well...with the Sputnik. So, it’s definitely glam...just different shades of glam. The chandelier will be in a sunroom away from the living room, where I’m considering the crystal chandelier. Thoughts?

I think it could work but idk about a crystal chandelier in the sunroom. How about the crystal in a DR LR or BR? Seems so forced in a sunroom. Also you say "chandeliers " are there two? What does it even mean to paint a chandelier? If they/it are cheapo enough that you are willing to spray paint them or something then keep it/them off of your first floor.

    i love your mantle!!!

Ok...maybe I’ll put the crystal chandeliers in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, and keep the Sputnik’s or something similar throughout the rest of the home. The crystal chandeliers are about 15 yrs old, amazing condition and not cheap or cheap looking. And I really appreciate all your help. Maybe I’ll just sell the chandeliers if I don’t find a place for them.

And thank you! I actually have 2 mantles, came out of a 1950 home...one will go in living room, the other in my 4th floor loft/game room!

I also don't think you need to do all similar. I'm just saying I'm having a hard time with the crystal n a sunroom. Do you have a DR? Two over a long table would be great, even over a kitchen island if your kitchen is pretty glam.

It’s a townhome, so it’s all open , thus the huge Sputnik that I want for the LR centered with the fireplace would clash with the dining room or island, as it’s just one huge area. The sunroom is actually in the back of the home, separated by the kitchen, this why I felt it would work on there, as the eye won’t see it based on floor plan.

Yeah, I get the idea-I don't think they would look bad together. My objection was that they seem too formal for a sunroom. But if YOU think they clash out them upstairs. How about the game room with the other marble FP?

I may do that too. I’m using the sunroom as my office, I work from home. But I’ve been thinking of that loft space as well. I know they’re a bit traditional, but love them ana would like to use them somewhere. Thanks for all your thoughts! Very helpful.
