How to style wall with task lighting
Hi Houzz. My living room has only overhead lighting. I’d like to add some other lighting but not sure how to. In particular I’d like to add some downward lighting for reading and decor to this corner over the sofa. I’d really appreciate any advice, thank you!!!

7 months agolast modified: 7 months agoYour room could use floor/table lamps. Wall lighting from sconces or task lights doesn’t usually project enough lighting for reading on a sofa.
For suggestions on best placement and lamp suggestions, please add photos of each of the 4 walls in their entirety taken straight on.
Is there room to pull the sectional away from the wall so behind it you can add either a floor lamp in the corner or a narrow sofa table with lamps?
Does the couch have end table(s) that a table lamp(s) can be placed on?
Consider adding a dimmer for your ceiling lights.

7 months agoIn the corner, behind the couch I might add a 3 headed floor lamp.
...next...a pharmacy lamp by the plant, at the end of the couch.....mixing styles is OK if you keep colors the same..
