Just added some metal and glass modern art to give some winter and summer color to our rock beds. We had moved a bush away from the house in order to shut the sprinkler zone down that was in this triangular area close to the house so I was keeping an eye out for something I liked to fill the space. These turned up at a local craft fair.

I bought 3, thinking I would put all three in this space. But three seemed too crowded so we put one in and surrounded it with rocks.

The other two we added to our waterfall area to give it some color.

A close up of what they look like. Sort of of modern art take on ornamental grass is my interpretation. They had different colors. Some were all the same color, others had clear with colors in them or were a combination of two colors. But the ones I chose had a lime green, yellow, orange, aqua and red color scheme.

I liked so many different options. Hard to say if this was the best choice. I also really liked the ones that were all a lilac purple. I'll have to see if they grow on me after I've lived with them a few weeks.

Overall I'm very pleased with them because I was looking for something that wouldn't hurt a dog if they ran into it and these seem to meet that requirement.

Primarily I've been working on compost piles and tunnels. Got a large hot pile going in Westminster made mostly of leaves, grass and Starbucks coffee grounds. Several other smaller piles are scattered about the garden beds. The low tunnels and cold frame are all planted out with greens. The high tunnel is a delayed project for now but some progress and plans have been made.
