We have a walkout basement that is dated and needs an update. It has a projector TV that has a narrow space for it so not sure if I should have a sectional or two loveseats etc as to not crowd the space. There is also a fireplace in a weird location on the wall. The walls are gray and the carpet is dark brown. The cabinets are a cherry color and I think I am going to replace them. We are planning on updating the cabinets, fireplace and getting new furniture. I have to keep the carpet and I am going to buy new window treatments. We also have several video games that have to stay as my spouse loves them. I am open to suggestions and am wonderin gif we should move the projector to above the fireplace (not sure it will fit) to improve the layout of the room. Have some pitures and everything down there can go except the video games. We prefer more modern style although you cannot tell from the basement! Any help or suggestions appreciated!

So to help the stairs down into the basement are behind the fridge and the you turn right and see the table and windows. Then the fireplace is on the wall straight ahead and the games are in front of the windows to the left. It is a walkout basement and shaped like an L. The projecotr TV is on the wall to the right of the fireplace. There is a hall way down that way that has the bathroom and furnace room. Again, thanks for any help one has to make my basement more cozy and useful! The treadmill is also going to be gone as not really a space for it.
