Bring inside and cut off at the soil level. Give it a while,maybe, maybe not. They are tough, but don't like cold.

I mean, again it was MAYBE 2 nights...and it was in a protected area (gazebo, with sidewalls that we’re zipped not allowing winds to really nip it. But for most part it’s been in the 40’s at night and 50-60’s day...still think there’s no chance?? Also, by looking at it, it doesn’t seem as if it’s completely gone...but idk much about indoor plants so this could be what it looks like before it dies for all I know.

Oof, idk if I want to try THAT hard to bring it back? Cutting it down to a nub...how long would it take to grow back?

You are not going to loose anything by waiting. Just don't over water, it won't need any.

Yes, unless you just have sentimental attachment, I'd write it off as a forgotten investment :)

Cutting back to "nubs" is essentially how this plant is handled for propagation as well as regenerating plants that grow too tall or too lanky. The top growth is likely to rot completely - just not at all frost tolerant - but the roots may have survived. And if they have, cutting back to a nub will allow the plant to reestablish itself. But it will take time.

Don't feel alone :-) I too have left summer vacationing houseplants outside too late and have had them nipped by frost. And just a moderately light frost...not into the 20's!! They were all toast, including a huge Christmas cactus more than 30 years old I inherited from my mom :-(

I still have to bring mine in for the winter - that is on today's to-do list!! Been meaning to do so for the last couple of weeks but the rains have hit and I've been busy with work stuff. It ls chilly here at night - in the 40's - but nowhere near frost temps.

With anything you like...it really doesn't matter.

It happens, we've all done it. And at least it's easy to replace (or try a new type of plant).

There's no harm in putting it in a warm, sunny spot & waiting. If the soil didn't freeze completely, there's no reason not to have some measure of hope, and curiosity. I would not trim anything, just wait.

I had 1 Yucca indoors that wilted possibly due to lack of sun. The neighbors threw out an elephantitis one when it grew too big & hacked off the base. It's been out all year growing well for the last two years so drying out in the room by a south facing window should do it. They absorb water from the floor
