What color gray is on the fireplace?

BM revere pewter is gray-beige with green undertone you would see more beige in it, but SW agreeable gray is green-gray and you can see more green in that paint. The best way is to get the actual paint as a sample and paint a large board for example min 12"x12" or get a bunch of paint sample stick it to a sheet of paper or a cardboard and make a large color board of each then hang them on the wall or over the fireplace put it on your furniture pieces move it around the house for 24-48 hrs and check the color in daylight and at night. Then you can decide which one is the best for your space!

The fireplace is SW Gauntlet Gray.

Try looking on the gauntlet gray color strip for a lighter shade, that should go with what you already have. You can also put sample boards, up against the fireplace to see how each looks with the gray you already have, with your lighting. Gray is very hard to get the right color with. I dont think either of the colors you picked out, will go with the gauntlet gray you already have. Love your beagle on the floor. Wish mine would lay still like that. LOL

I actually got the idea of gauntlet with agreeable gray from a pin where someone else did same thing. Have seen other nice pics of gauntlet with agreeable but wasn’t sure with our carpet and trim color (Browns) how it’d look.

Looking at gauntlet next to revere, agreeable would prob look better. In hindsight, we probably should’ve waited to paint fireplace but were anxious to make the change.

What color is your sofa ? can you post close up of sofa and carpet.

Personally I would remove that fireplace it is just a fake one not attached..get a big beautiful console for your TV..the tv and fireplace are way to close in size. Do you not have a dining room or eat in kitchen? need Some info..sorry want to help.

We actually plan to get a new couch soon. We bought that one prior to moving in and I really don’t think it goes well with carpet.

Any ideas for door? I’ve never painted a door. Should it match fireplace or wall (whichever gray we choose) color, or totally different gray?

We were planning on putting the tv above the fireplace once we get walls painted. Eventually would like new dining table. We also have room in kitchen for a small table. There are no other rooms on this floor but bathroom.

I will only be very honest.....you need to remove the full size dining table unless you have a family larger than 4 or 5 living in your home....get a couple stools for the counter at the kitchen window..use the entire space for living area....the fireplace is to small to hang a tv over it....move that fireplace out....replace it with a good sized console for your TV to make a focal point for the space....what design style are you trying to achieve?

Hindsight is 20/20. Yes I do think it would be better to have waited to paint the fireplace, after choosing a paint. That said, I dont think gray really goes with your beige brown carpet. I also think your tv is way too big to hang above that fireplace. A longer tv stand with a built in fireplace, would probably work, but, thats a lot more money. Maybe try a color on the walls, like a light green, or a cream color, or a very light bluish color, other than gray. I love gray, as long as the grays look gray when you look at the wall. I have a gray living room, after painting it the third time. First two paints looked greenish and wasnt what I wanted. I finally found the right gray for my living room, that does look like gray. Revere pewter is a greige, more than a gray, and may very well go with your carpet, and look good in your room.

I’m just wanting it to feel more cozy and more my style. I like warm grays and wish we had hardwood floors and white trim and cabinets, but we don’t, so just trying to work with what we have.
I tend to like “transitional modern” style.

I don’t know that no table there is an option, but I agree a smaller would look better. Right now though, wall color is top priority since we finally just hired someone for next week.

Would like new furniture down the road.

Completely different layout and so much bigger also no wood floors....it looks like a table was put in the family with the carpet underit.......not a good mix...totally understand what you are trying to achieve...how big is your family that you need seating for over 4-5? Your home size is just not able to handle using that area for another table...by adding stools at the window counter it will allow for more to sit and eat...please don’t put that table in the family room on the carpet;/ I am here to help if you want help...have been doing interior design for many years...willing to help you out...remove the fireplace....trust me!
