Hello all, I just replaced my 2 garage lights (both from same switch). 1 had black white and bare wire so I connected them to the same on the new fixture, turned on breaker then wall switch and it worked. (Along with other light that was previously installed). Turned off switch and breaker, took down the remaining old fixture without looking at wire placement, went to connect new light and noticed a difference coming out of the ceiling. Instead of black white and bare like the previous one, it had black white and RED. I capped off the red, connected black to black and white to white turned on and neither worked. I then connected the red and black to the black on light fixture and both lights work. Did I do this correctly or does the black from the ceiling need to be capped???
