Seems there is too much going on with the sconces. They are too high up and you have too many traditional items that look matchy-matchy. If that is the style you're going for perhaps a more transitional feel would fit the gorgeous painting better. You have a beautiful house.

I would ditch the sconces and focus on getting 2 oil-rubbed bronze to keep the traditional feel but slightly more modern for that upgraded look.

Any of these would look lovely with your countertops.

Additionally, switching the lights to daylight /cooler bulbs might help.

I really love the existing sconces. I would keep those, and just change the ceiling light. I like the idea of a simpler drum shade. My choice for this, would be a black shade. And if you wanted to take it a step further, you could consider new counter stools. Below I show a transitional style and a modern style.

I didn’t ask for two different colors on the stools... This is AI running amok. I think AI did this because of the black and white shades on the lights. So, I think there is a method to the madness; and, actually, I do like this stool color combo.
