Except for the floor, the room has a cold feel at the moment. Hope you don't mind if I make separate suggestions for warming up the space:

--Paint the brick the same color as the walls

--Remove chair rail so you get a nice smooth look.

--Add warm wood accents--side tables, coffee table, for example to pick up on warm floor tones. Nesting tables might be a practical way to get a coffee table into what appears to be a small area:

Oh, lower your art by the window. The center of it, from floor to center, should be 57"-60", which is eye level. Ditto any new art you bring in.
