Which one is the front door?

the door we want to remove is the one to the left of the two large windows. its confusing the people when they come over.

I would definitely take out the extra door and replace with a matching window. A full porch on the ell with the wood front door would be nice and welcoming. No shutters- I don’t think they would fit with the home.

You could freshen the color with a white, instead of the dirt looking cream/yellow.

There is a house across the street so it's hard to get a better photo. I'm using the photos from when we bought the house a year ago. Here are a few more but still from the side. we've removed some of the excess landscaping since.

Maybe I am a purist but I would not remove the front door on a 100 year old home. The house has so many larger issues. I would restore the front door as much as possible and then put a potted plant there. Currently you have four different window types just on this one facade- casements in the bow, double hungs with an arch detail above, 2/2 on the second floor of the old section, and (replacement?) 6/6 on the first floor. I would work toward choosing one window type. I would love to see a porch across the whole left portion. The bow can be replaced with three double hungs ganged together or a box bay.

J would consider working on the landscaping before the actual house. The house looks good and would probably look even nicer with better landscaping

What you have is a farmhouse with an addition that left you without an integrating element. I would explore finding that element. Here are some ideas. No shutters are needed. Add a porch that connects the two structures. Build an arbor that connects. Or add 4 season porch to define front elevation. A extended roofing feature with nice new walkway and of course good landscaping would give you completely new look.
