Ademink - Ahhhhh yes my fellow lover of tall/vase hostas Do I know where im going to plant all of them? No...but i'll find space. Im getting a little more picky now about what I add to the list haha

I think you need some intervention.......... ; )

    Sherry

Awesome list! Goodness Gracious will be one of your favorites. Where did you find Stags Leap?

haha, I know! As the presentations continue I'm thinking "wonder if I can decline that one that I said "yes" to earlier...." ;)

zkathy - Gary from Naylors Creek offered it on FBs Hosta Buyers Guide - they sold out within maybe 10 minutes I think?

Jealous. Even if I could prevail and order more hosts I have no real estate left and more than enough potted ones. Love love your list and Gary and FB is very addictive...

My list is at about 20 new hosts for next year and that will make it crowded...

    Where will you get Stargate?

None....hoping to sell around 150 of them.

    I’m hoping to get....

    Cup of Grace

    Deep Blue Sea

    Celtic Dancer

    Queen of the Seas

    Beyond Glory

    Gentle Giant

    Sum of All

    Rhino Hide

    It‘s gonna be a long winter :)

Since I have so many large ones that didn't get planted this year, I'm going to try to limit myself in number as well as size. In the spring I'll have to figure out where they will go.... So I know I'll get some, but hopefully I can exercise some self-control.

These are the plants on my short list:

Sharp Dressed Man - I only see it for sale through Green Hill

    Purple Verticulated Elf

    Midnight Oil

    Chromosphere

    Tea and Crumpets

World Cup - yes, I know that's a larger one, but I have a specific location in mind

    Risky Business

I don't have any streaked hostas yet... so maybe I can get a Korean Snow? Kaleidochrome?

I don't have a big list (yet). But I would really like One Iota.

    A small list so far...

    Valley's Blue Chute

    Oberland Thin Line

    Oberland Darkness

    Fan Dance

    Fruit Punch

    Jack Berry

    Coastal Treasure

    Cleopatra

    Scheherazade

    Nippers

    Lakeside Coal Miner

I would like to hear how LS Coal Minet does and if it’s as dark as it’s reported to be!

I'm also curious how dark it is. I like the dark green Hosta. Oberland Darkness is another one from a small nursery in Austria.

I got carried away and have a few coming in the spring

    Blushing Blue

    Astral Bliss

    Strawberry Parfait

    Effervesence

    Goldbrook Glimmer

    Biscuits N Honey

    Anna Lindh

    Stephen King

    Jack Berry

    Holar Purple Flash

    Unruly Child

    Marilyn Monroe

    Goodness Gracious

I guess that few totals 13. I'm superstitious so I better find at least one more ; ) Oh wait, I forgot about Country Sun Drop. Better quit, Christmas is coming. Wonder if the grandkids like hostas.

I have an order ready to go for spring. My first order from Northern Grown Perennials will be (I'm sure this list will grow a bit):

    FROSTED JADE

    GARDEN PARTY

    GEISHA

    FROST GIANT

    GREEN PIECRUST

    BRUTUS

    STRIPTEASE

    GOLS STANDARD

    GOLD REGAL

    LEOLA FRAIM

    FAITH so far...

P.S. anyone who reads this: Opinions on these if you own any? I know Striptease, Gold Standard are classics, but are any of the lesser-known ones grown by forum members? Thanks.

Don - Geisha is a small but sturdy plant. Mine was mowed down by the rabbits continuously all spring/early summer.... by later in the summer I had solved (hopefully permanently) the rabbit problem in my yard, and Geisha came back beautifully. I can't wait to see what it does if it actually has a season of undisturbed growth. Also, mine is in quite a bit of sun, but didn't seem to look burned.

Also - Gold Regal is a strong grower, and beautiful!

Don-my youngest daughter is named Jada so I am interested to hear what you have to say about Frosted Jade.

FROSTED JADE - Beautiful in shade, looks like hell in sun

GARDEN PARTY - leave room, mines about 4 ft tall, awesome

    GEISHA - meh

FROST GIANT - meh, sold it

    GREEN PIECRUST - love it.....slooooow

    BRUTUS - awesome

STRIPTEASE - standard, grows like a weed

GOLD STANDARD - meh, looks good for about 3 weeks then blah

GOLD REGAL - meh....get Rascal instead

LEOLA FRAIM - meh....get Garden Treasure instead

FAITH - awesome, takes sun, glows yellow

Been on a little Hosta Hiatus so I just put my order in. Last year I ordered the day the catalog came out. This year I didn't even notice. Still plenty of interesting Hosta out there without stressing about getting the super limited ones.
    Diamond Lake
    Etched Glass
    Eye of the Dragon
    Fragrant Queen
    Glad Rags
    Mango Tango
    Midnight Oil
    Paisley Border
    Sapphire Pillows
    Silver Sheen
    Skywriter
    Sultans of Swing
    Temptation
    Tequila Sunrise
    Victor

I looked at Jack Berry, but for some reason it doesn't excite me. Guess I've had my fill of blues with red pets reaching into the leaf and now I'm just waiting for the outright purple Hosta.

Thank you Windymess and Mikgag for the info!

Don, Gold Regal disappointed me...I bought it three years ago because is was described as similar in stature to Krossa Regal, but it came never near it...if it is not growing better next summer it will have to make room for others...

Frosted Jade had problems last year, I hope it gets better...

I like little Geisha, got it in spring and it did well during our very hot and dry summer

Striptease...the only one with HVX so far in my garden, dumped it two years ago...

Gold Standard...gave it to a friend, it was not so nice as I thought it would be...

Don, Frost Giant grows well but slowly for me over the last four years here in the UK.

Maybe it likes our generally cooler climes

Love Song, Gretchen’s Grace (thanks to Karin’s pictures) Annabelle Lee

    are my online purchases.

I have a long list with plants I want to get at a nursery my husband is going to take me in Spring.

Good choices Claudia. I got a good-sized Love Song last year from Naylor Creek. I can't wait to see those long leaves emerge next spring. Annabelle Lee has been on my list, but just can't seem to find it when I'm buying. Gretchen's Grace will be added to my list now that I've seen it, lol. I did admire Gretchen's Rainbow in Holland last year, but couldn't bring it home.
