Would not be my first choice. It is a neonicotinoid and they have little to no effect on mites. In fact, the use of neonics has a deleterious effect on natural mite predators and has been considered the reason behind recent mite population booms.

Stick with whatever miticide is available to you. Or you can try insecticidal soap or horticultural oil. Also, both the cyclamen and broad mites are temperature sensitive. It is suggested that you immerse the entire pot into 110F water for 30 minutes to kill off the mites and with no damage to the plants.

Thanks. Permethrin is available but once I sprayed african violet with it the plant died. Was it due to permethrin usage? I remember having sprayed it quite thoroughly. Is permethrin harmful to african violets?

I read the soaking solution but I'm not very fond of it as both cyclamen and african violets are prone to rotting.
