Tub to Shower Conversion - shower screen help needed quick!

We removed the 5 foot tub. All along I have planned to have a Shower Screen instead of a full glass with door. Now my contractor is worried about splashing. Does anyone know if this will work and if so what size opening I need to leave to enter the shower? Thanks for any help you can give!!!
