Thanks Harvey in S. Florida! I had almost given up on this plant, but I followed all of your advice, pulled my Sharry Baby up so the pseudobulbs were sitting on top of the mix and took the plastic pot out of the planter (when it was outside). It is now blooming on one stem and growing a second! It had gotten a bit neglected so is a bit shriveled, but whose looking at the leaves??? :D
