Yes, a floor plan would come handy before suggesting anything. It is not fortunate to place the TV in front of the window.

As you can see i not only have a huge bay window but double sliding doors that access a balcony

HI Brenda, Gosh, I can see now, you are not in an easy situation. I can think of two different scenarios.

1) you can opt for a curtain+ roman shade combination. Like this one. This is quick and easy, you won't feel like in a theatre. Or alternatively Hunter Douglas Honeycomb shade type of stuff. The pics are only for demonstration.

2) you can also change the layout of your floor plan a bit. (maybe, it is not an option, I cannot tell without proper measurements). Move the two sofas so they face each other. the one in front of the window would stay, only the other one would be moved. Also change the direction of the coffee table.With this, you can move the TV set onto the wall, where the AC is.

Thanku Nora. I used to have the sofas like that before But it cuts the length of the room making it feel squashed up and i still needed to keep the shutters down fully because of the glare on the TV But Ill look into roman blinds those might be an option. Its just all the pics i see of bay windows have the blinds up to make the most of the view. I only have builings outside so the blinds would have to be down all the time . But thankyou once again for taking the time to help me address this dilema
