What is your budget? The fixes are going to be expensive to redo what seem like poor patchwork projects done on this bungalow the past. The biggest problems: driveway is in poor condition. Porch and garage siding don't work with the rest of the house. The roofline of garage is awful. The patchy lawn makes everything look forlorn. The gutter is sticking out.

These kinds of issues are sometimes indicators of other bad decisions made in the house. Did you buy this already? If not, reconsider the purchase unless you have tens of thousands of dollars to get an architect and contractor. Right now, hire your own inspector, not the real estate agent's inspector, to give this house a thorough going over. I would worry about how plumbing and electrical were done since the sloppiness of the exterior might be a sign of other slapdash fixes.

--remove metal awning and redirect white gutter on the side

    --new driveway and walkway

----landscape redesign with perennial plantings instead of scrubby lawn

    --

--add brick siding to the front that goes with the rest of the house

--possibly a new garage that harmonizes with the lines of the house or add roofline that does the same.

I would take down the metal awning and remove the entry porch. Rebuild a full porch across the front with a proper roofline. Add a matching roof to the garage, and fix the driveway.

It's a lovely house. I agree with Rachel Lee. Remove the metal canopy. A good way to update brick is to paint it. I would recommend it for this house but be warned - once you paint brick it can't be unpainted. Your enclose porch looks pretty good and is somewhat unique with the stone veneer and the windows (which look original). I would consider changing out the door. Would certainly change out the railing for something more substantial and better looking. Instead of removing the entry porch (as suggested) could you build a new covered porch on the left side of the house that could be accessible from the interior of your house and from the entry porch. That would darken the interior but it would provide you more outside space for a couple of chairs and a small table. Also, I would invest in landscaping - either hire a landscape architect or a landscaper who has experience in design. Good luck!

This is such a cute house! Not sure I'd paint the brick but I'm sure it would look nice-- I'd have to see it in person to take that drastic step :) I'd get some landscaping done around the front and stairway, with a walkway of some kind to the stairs.

Although I am not a fan of the tricolour brick of the porch, I am not sure about painting it either. It seems to have been used a lot in the area, there are many houses that have at least some of this type of stone work. The driveway is a given, first thing in the spring.
