Bedding to go with fun rug

My husband and I are re-doing our bedroom. We purchased this rug to add the flair my husband likes - and honestly, I love the rug too! My question - what kind of bedding would go with this? Plain, classy white with some fun pillows? Or...??

if it were me, I would definitely choose vibrant color bedding to go with it. Navy would also look sharp with it.
