How big are your bulbs? You should get flowers from bigger size bulbs

I've never tried the tropicals, but the native hymenocallis (occidentalis and lirosme) tend to take a few years to settle in and don't like to be disturbed.

Mine bloomed the first year I had them but not since. I asked a group that grows these what to do & they said to make sure the bulb isn't too deep. They also said avoid wet winters and freezing temperatures. I have not dug mine up but I suspect maybe they would do better if I did. BTW, I am zone 8b.
