Wouldn't your TV be better for viewing on a console on the left side of your fireplace? It looks too high for comfortable viewing. A colorful piece of art over the fireplace would look good, I think.

Jila, I don't see how you can put a tv on a cabinet beside the fireplace since you have a sectional.

I can see something like this working in your space...

Of course, your tv would sit lower than in this mock up since I cut and pasted from the photo.

Love those ideas. Thank you. I agree that leaving the TV above the fireplace is the best option. It is centered in the room and we can also see it from our kitchen.

can you take the tile all the way to the ceiling? it would suit the FP and room so much better

or you could try doing something like this to finish the FB

or this one. (switch the tv/art work)

or this. Right now your FB seems unfinished . either continue the tile all the way up or think about doing some trim work like shown in these pics.
