Well, a king size bed is 16" wider than a queen size. So, say you currently plan on having the switches 8" away from the bed. If you make them 16" away, it will accommodate if you switch to king, but still easily within arm's reach.

I'd put them out of sight when the bed is made. Like behind the pillows. Be sure to tie in the switch with a switch by the door so you can turn the light on when entering the room then turn it out while in bed.

But then they would be behind a headboard and you'd have to reach around behind yourself to turn them off :)

I'd put them, essentially, on the far side of the nightstand lamp. Then if you get a bigger bed, they'll be on the near side of that same lamp. :)

I don't want them to show so I'd find a way to place them so I could reach them from bed without getting up.

We put touch switches on our bedside lamps. Is a thing you plug into your plug in and plug your lamp into that. A touch on the metal part of your lamp turns it off and another touch turns it off.

Get a fan with a remote and lamps with swiches on them and when you go to bed turn off the overhead if you have tha seperate from the fan. IMO switches on the wall beside the bed do not look good. since they need to be visible for you to be able to use them
