For just a plain old daffodil, I prefer Thalia. But I also favor the Narcissus poeticus types and like Actaea, Pheasant's Eye and Geranium. And for great fragrance and multiple double flowers per bulb, White Cheerfulness.

Thanks Gardengal! I do have Geranium, Thalia, and White Cheerfulness. They are great, blooming and naturalizing freely. I will look into the others that you recommended.

Definitely look into the poets daffodils, they're such nice whites! Also a trumpet like Beersheba is a more delicate beauty, but many people like Mt Hood as well.

Geranium is my all-time favorite daffodil. I also love Actaea and Cheerfulness though I slightly prefer Yellow over White Cheerfulness for the visual effect as a group. I haven't grown Albus Plenus Odoratus and Daphne, but would like to try them one day.

Oh yeah! Beersheba and Daphne are gorgeous! Didn't know there's such lovely white doubles out there. I really like the forms on these two.
