I am trying to decide on the best flooring to use for a pool bathroom.

Tile is the obvious - and likely - choice. But I have some hesitations. The current plan, for various reasons, calls for a small white hex tile. Simple and classic. With a LOT of grout lines. Grout usually doesn't scare me. I like the advanced grouts out there now that resist stains, and for a lot of slippery, wet-feet kids, grout has its advantages.

The main issue I worry about with a pool bathroom is spray-on sunscreen. We've all experienced it - the awful, glue like residue left behind by people spraying on their sunblock inside. I know it's going to happen. I think tile is probably the best option for "easy" removal. But what about the grout? Would black or white grout be more susceptible to staining?

And if I switched the tile to a large format (no-slip) tile, it would likely not be white. In which case, would a black or dark tile be more prone to staining from sunscreen?

Anyone BTDT and have some thoughts on the best flooring choices when worried less about daily use and soap scum, and more about chlorine, wet floor, and sticky sunblock?
