Denise, you may be right. I don't come here as often as I used to for that reason.

Vladimir - I believe Silica changed account names and is now "JODI" and all her ( I believe Silica was a female) posts were converted to that account name. And it seems Patty hasn't posted in the past couple years. Having been around here a long time, over the years I know some long-timers have taken ill or have passed away too, so sometimes "life happens". I know I have only recently gotten active again on GW after work and family commitments kept me from posting much, although I would still try to lurk occasionally.

In my early days I posted too much with my excitement on my little seed grown Meiwa. There werenseveral people that were verbally abusive to me.

Baconquest posted a picture from his Photobucket account and didn't limit access. Baconquest had his stuff together and I was following silently. He had very interesting ideas. I went into his Photobucket collection and clicked the LIKE button on some 200+ pictures and left HONEST complimentary to the point comments of his pictures and artistic talents. He closed his link and was never herd from again on the citrus forum.

Jopa rich was harsh on me too. I was not so leniant on my handling of him. I addressed him back as "JOPPY-POO". Never heard from him again.

I am friends with several from here on FB; that includes Patty and KC&Milo. I know for sure that Patty is a very busy lady with her quilting and teenage children.

I'm glad to hear that Patty is well. I remember her from years ago when I first started posting here. I have seen pip chime in here and there, but was not aware that silica changed his/her name. I have always thought of silica as a he. I wonder if he/or she will at least tell us that. I was thinking of posting to ask about silica recently, but you beat me to it.

I am thankful I have not been party to any drama on here but I do know that type of thing is par for the course on almost any forum. Seems like good folk on here but I've mostly been a lurker on GW over the last few years

Steve, I was reading the older posts on this forum recently and stumbled upon those nasty comments towards you. I could tell how excited you were growing those trees at that time, sharing your experience. Sorry that happened to you here! Bullying shouldn't be tolerated anytime and anyplace!

I'm a relative newbie at citrus, though horticulturally quite experienced. I'm just trying to soak up what I can, though the relative quietness lately is a bit disturbing (as a general trend).
I much prefer the more organized forums than chaotic facebook. Apparently that is not the avg these days though.

    Denise, right on!

I have myself have thought of leaving to, but stayed for the same reason as you))0

Then I also remember that all of us at one time or another have fallen short of perfection which makes me easily forgive anyone or anything done. In general, I too stay in touch with many that have once frequented here and I have yet to e-mail Patty as well. She was special, along with missing Brian these days lately, and a few others, another in mind which was of great help here, Cory!
