Furniture Design Dilemma Bedroom

IKEA Hemnes Daybed

Hi! I'm trying to decipher if I can use a regular twin mattress with the IKEA Hemnes daybed as opposed to the IKEA mattress, which is slightly smaller. Reviews are mixed and customer service was no help at all. Does anyone have a Hemnes daybed and can send the dimensions of the mattress base? IKEA Hemnes Daybed

Check out the measurements on the product page...it gives them. It appears that their mattresses are thinner than a normal twin mattress. I would go see this in person, armed with exact measurements.

Thank you, but the dimensions are for the mattress. My closest store is over two hours away, otherwise I would pop in.
