Fun project for minky scraps

I saw the sweetest little items at a Christmas bazaar the other day. They were 12-14" square "blankies" made of two layers of minky. They were not batted or quilted - just sewn together, turned and then the opening stitched. Babies supposedly love them, and they can be much more easily carried around than full-sized blankets. They're great for cuddling while the babies are in car seats. I've been wondering what to do with the minky scraps I have accumulated. Now I know. They make a really quick gift that costs nothing but a half hour of your time.
