I am looking at using Baldwin Evolved as well. I would also love to hear how others like it!

We installed the Evolved about 8 months ago. Love the sleek, contemporary styling of “Minneapolis” model in satin nickel finish. Gorgeous finish, looks solidly constructed. It is paired to our phones with Kevo app. We like having the ability to provide an electronic “key” to our son who is away at college. Kevo lets us know via text when to update software, etc. The lock easily and quickly recognizes us and the lock opens and closes effortlessly. All was well until we started hearing random beeps. (The lock beeps when it is being locked or unlocked). We thought it could be low battery and changed them. The beeps continued. Then on occasion, we would actually hear what sounds like the lock sliding open! We immediately check the lock when this occurs. Usually, it has remained in the locked position. However, once we found that the door had actually unlocked itself, the bolt was in the retracted position. Very unsettling. Contacted Baldwin. Technical support is responsive and will walk you through troubleshooting. In this case, they sent out a new motor. Unfortunately, the second motor is behaving the same way, though less frequently. Changing the motor also requires that you delete the app and reinstall it. Baldwin reports that there have been issues with some of the motors and a third motor could be in our future. Given Baldwin's excellent customer service and “Ed” in technical support (he always calls back), we feel confident that the issue will be resolved.
