island Granite cracks

last modified: 7 years ago

our island Granite was installed this week. we went to the templating, and there are no seams in the island. There are mitered edges which they did a really beautiful job with. I was home well they did the work, but mostly try to stay out of their way as well. When I left I noticed 3 cracks in our Island granite. It looks like it's been repaired, and the smaller ones I can't feel. The larger when I can feel him when I run my fingernail over it. The owner of the Granite place is supposed to be coming back out shortly. I understand it's a natural material and I think I can live with the way that it looks. this was the last slab of this granite at the location we went through, and it's bookended with the granite on our countertops Etc, so I'm not particularly interested and having to start the process of looking for stone all over again. From what I've read it sounds like as long as the repair is done correctly I shouldn't have to worry about the integrity of the surface.
Are there other things I need to consider before I talk with the owner of the Granite place? I'm including a picture of my Island and several pictures of the cracks for reference. Thanks for all your help.
