Merry Christmas everyone! We had the strangest Christmas. All four of us, DH, DS and DD and I slept in, had a leisurely morning, DH and DD and I went for Sushi for lunch, DS wasn't feeling well. Then we can home and put up the tree. I planned on wrapping gifts, but thought, "what's the hurry?". We're not celebrating until January 5 when the other two DD's come to town. LOL

I have been sick, so we spent the day here at home. The girls were sick last week and I watched them for a couple hours so DD could go to a business meeting. I think they shared their germs with me. I’m starting to feel better but DH is getting sick now. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

    Thank you, Theresa!

We had a mostly quiet Christmas. Christmas Eve was spent w/my family. We had dinner & watched old 8mm family movies from the past 60 years. Even the teenagers enjoyed it! On the 25th we had our traditional 'eggnog pancakes' and added quiche to the breakfast brunch this year. In the evening we gathered with DH's family, feasting on lamb, pastichio, and Greek salad. It was the first year we didn't exchange presents with extended family; and I have to say, one of the least-stressful holidays I've ever had. Hope we continue that next year! Decorations have been taken down & stored until next year.

Linda, I'm sorry to hear you're sick. Hope you are on the mend soon!

Bev, sushi for Christmas lunch actually sounds wonderfully different.

    Season's Greetings from SC, y'all!

Thank you, Theresa. Our Christmas started Sunday morning for opening gifts with DD's family. We usually have dinner at her house on Christmas day but an unexpected death/funeral had us changing plans so dinner will be tomorrow. Middle DD from Indiana arrived yesterday and plans to stay until Monday, so she'll be here for our big dinner. She's made cookies and has lima beans and ham scheduled for supper. I think they all plan to play cards with the Geezer tonight. I prefer sitting in the living room and listening to their chatter. :-)

Wishing you all a New Year full of happiness, peace, joy, contentment and good health.......and a few extra $$$$ for fabric or blades.

I am flabbergasted! DS#2 gave us a snowblower. He doesn’t want me to shovel the drive. (This should insure no heavy snows.)
