If I’m buying it for looks, and in person it doesn’t look as good then no, I don’t buy it (assuming it’s expensive). If I’m going to sacrifice my dream range then I’ll get an ordinary range and not one that’s close.

I would imagine that range at the store looked like the range in the photos before a bazillion people walked past it and touched every knob, opened every door, etc.

Your stove will start out like the pictures. Eventually it will end up like the floor model at the store, more or less quickly depending on the durability of the finish and how often you use it.

Only you can say if you are ok with that...

That range doesn't look that special when I look at it. But if you like it I'd go back to the store with some brass polish and buff up a handle. This will also give you good info on maintenance you'll need to do periodically.

The range is a GE, Cafe is a division of GE appliances more moderately priced. I would NOT, not, not use a white hood above it, unless that hood is a cabinetry match with insert.

This was a launch of products by GE to mime high end /luxury looks. .........and the description on the model/ Cafe web site of GE, doesn't say "brass" it says BRONZE. You are getting exactly as it states. Or you are not.

There are much better ranges and much prettier too.IMO you buy appliances for how they function for you period. But I would also not buy slate appliances plain old stainless is for me still the best option to get appliances that look good together and not all from one maker so that you get the ones that work for you..BTW those 2 ovens look useless to me.
