Unfortunately, the plants in those kits are rarely in the greatest of shape. I would pot them up. The vfts bulbs should be buried. The tender new growth will be at risk of getting fried by sunlight if exposed too soon to strong light so slowly increase the light strength and duration.

Pot up the sarracenia up as well. The rhizome can be just beneath the media surface. Keep the media moist until it enters active growth. You can sit it on a sunny windowsill i for you have one.

I never could clearly tell which side is up and down, so I generally plant it on its side. That way, I don't make a worse mistake of planting it upside down and have it struggle even more trying to survive.

But I did have good success with the VFTs and pitcher plants in the growing kits. If they were lower priced, I would buy more of them, but at their price point, it's hard to pick them up for bare roots.

They are a good gate-way plant kit into growing more carnivorous plants, though!
