San Yang Pai Range Hood Light Bulb

We have a San Yang Pai CY-968 range hood in our home. It was there when we bought it and is apparently more of a professional level hood? Anyway, the light bulb burned out soon after we moved in and so I went out and replaced it, but the bulb burned out soon afterwards. The problem seems to be that regular light bulbs can't handle the heat and vibration so it needs an appliance bulb.

The problem is that the opening for the bulb will not accommodate a standard appliance bulb. See photos. The base needed is a standard size bulb base, but the opening will only accommodate a long cylindrical type bulb. So far, I've found appliance light bulbs with the regular base, but they are "standard shape" bulbs and are too wide. I've found some smaller cylindrical appliance bulbs (mostly for microwaves) but they have smaller bases.

I've not been able to find anything like this or even much about the hood itself other than that it seems to be one used more for small commercial use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the bulb, standard base is A19. If that is the case you may be able to find a LED solution that is not a susceptible to the vibration.

I haven't tried yet because from what I've already read online, they aren't very helpful. A number of posts around various sites have talked about how frustrating the customer service is. So I thought I'd crowdsource it first.

Not even going to give them a chance to help you? You’d think they at the very least could provide you with a manual if not a correct bulb type. I’ve never even heard of the brand before so I’m of no use. But if it were me, I’d at least give them a chance to prove how terrible their customer service is before assuming the worst.

Chinese stuff is very often attached to poor customer service. But I honestly can’t tell from your picture exactly where the bulb even goes. I have some Italian lighting that takes automotive bulbs so took a hunt. Can you take the old bulb out and go to a good lighting store they can probably help.

Do you know where i can buy the light cover ? i have the same one at home but it burned. i out it in the dishwasher and it melted a bit when it fell at thr bottom of dishwasher.

Do u know by ny chance where i can buy a replacement cover for the light range same as yours? might for melted when it fell at the bottom of the dishwasher :(
