Your problem is not your bedding, it's that rug. That rug does not belong in a bedroom. It is way too loud and the color is too dark. That rug is why you are struggling with bedding. Further, that rug does not match with those drapery panels. Get a different rug, something with lighter, more neutral colors in a more subtle pattern. It's a master bedroom, think "relaxing".

Maybe adding white sheers or white blinds to your ivory panels will give you what your looking for. So you don't feel they are competing.

Thank you all for your input. Patricia, I like the look of the bedding though it’s a bit traditional for the house. NJ, the idea of adding white blinds is a good thought though they are larger windows than appear in the picture and the blinds would no doubt need to be custom. CPaul...had to laugh and deep down probably agree. We had to part with our decorator mid project and this was purchased to simply try to complete the project ourselves. I’m totally willing to give up the rug and think I’ll just hire a new decorator to finish the project. Thanks for the feedback from all of you.
