Happy New year RMG's, it has been a long time since I've been on the site, and so excited to catch up on the news. Its been a couple years since i've been to a swap and am soooo looking forward to it. Just to catch everyone up for those who dont know me, my sister and I (Lucy) had the swap a couple of years ago in Berthoud at her farm, I think it was a spring swap. I have been around along time, but have been out of site for awhile. I purchase a plot of 40 acres down in Southern Colorado and my hubs and I built a home, so needless to say we have been out of touch from the world so to speak. We've tried our hands on some poultry (chickens and turkeys) and pigs. What an adventure that was. Lost one turkey and a baby pig to rattlesnake bites the first year, it was quite the learning experience. We also planted a multitude of trees last year, including 2 peach, 2 pear and 2 plums. I have started some apple seeds this year and they just germinated and am so excited to start preparing for spring. I hope you all are well and Happy Gardening in this glorious new year of 2019.
