Tween bedroom paint/decor idea

I am looking to paint my daughter’s bedroom. She’s looking for color on her wall but I’m challenged which paint color to use and should I paint the entire room or an accent wall. Here’s a pic of a color pallet. Also, I’d love to see decor ideas. Thank you!!

It might be a good idea to ask your daughter if she has any color preferences as she is a teenager and probably does want to have some say in her own room. That being said, I understand that if she chooses something way out of left field, that might be a bit hard to swallow, in which case neutrals are always a safe bet in case her likes/dislikes change as she grows up.

It’s only paint, unless she wants the whole thing black. Let her choose.

    BM Mexicali Turquoise

Sounds like the daughter is already involved to me.

A lot of the accessories are in the pink family so what about some turquoise and white stripes like on your cup?

What's the rest of the room look like? Maybe the wall(s) with window I would leave the white and use some curtains for color on them.

You could do even width stripes all over or maybe wider stripes at the bottom and thinner stripes at the top of wall.

Or you could just paint the ceiling and then about 1-2 feet of the top of the wall all the way around.

Thank you all yes she is involved. We’re just trying to find the best blue color and mexicali terq is exactly the color we were looking for. Thank you!

Love all your ideas for curtains and stripes. Especially, the idea of painting the ceiling. I never thought about that. I attached a pic below with ceiling painted coming a few feet down of the wall. Is that what you were referring to?

yes! That's exactly what I meant and I love that color choice! I may steal it for my ODDs room hehe.

I did that in my girls' shared bathroom with a coral color. I wanted to add color but was worried painting the walls would be a little too in-your-face. So I did it just like your pic except kept the rest of the walls white. And am now working on adding the color in rugs, towels, and art. (my girls are young so I make all the decisions hahah).

If you post pics of the rest of the room people can help out more. Like with curtains/shades or rugs, etc. I love decorating the kids rooms.

I have 8ft ceilings in my girls bath and it looks fine. I only brought it down about 10-12 inches to the top of the door frames.

This is the only picture I have on me right now and it was before we moved in. But for reference to OP.

@justwantpool I absolutely love the idea! Yes, that was my biggest concern, the color being all in your Face if paint the entire room. THANK YOU! I’ll post more pics. Kids have a jack and Jill bathroom. I’ll be painting my son’s his color of choice as well for my daughter. Excellent idea!

Bright Lab Lights (or something similar) would be cute! https://www.brightlablights.com What kind of decor or furnishings does she need?
