Your style is more casual/transitional rather than shabby chic. Shabby chic color palettes are generally soft and muted - aged and worn looking. Whites, creams, faded pastels, etc. Soft flowing fabrics.

Your colors are darker and heavier. Is that the back of a computer you're showing? That corner is a bit of an eyesore. Can you rotate that configuration around against the wall at the end of the bed under the mirror?

And yes drapes would go a long way to add softness. They can flank the sides and only dress it up rather than cover the wood. The ladies can be relocated to the outsides of the drapes.

Realign the 3 pictures above the bed so they are closer together and the bottoms align. They will make more sense visually since they are small.

So I would abandon the shabby chic plan and go for a themed plan - maybe a bit Parisian with the ladies.
