Ca you provide more information including dimensions and pictures (if possible) about your dining room? It would also help to know how you use it; is it more formal or do you use it every day? Does it serve for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner or just dinner? How often? Do you have children? Is it a separate room or part of an open plan kitchen or living room? What is your personal style? Do you like easy to use and clean or do you enjoy entertaining other adults?

My dining room is a living room/dining room combo and the kitchen is next to the dining room part. I have a more formal Queen Anne oval wood table with a beautiful top; sometimes I use tablecloths, other times not. There are times I wish it were round rather than oval because it could sit four rather than six but it's not worth changing at this point. I love the beauty of the tablew.

This was the table I had but you see it's too big for the space. I got rid of it yesterday.

How many people live in your home? Would a two-person table work? (It's hard to tell from the picture how crowded the room is because I can see only the table and chairs.) Also, do you have any other furniture such as a buffet in the dining room that is taking up space?

Family of 5 so it needs to be a good size. Sorry. Trying to download pics

Perhaps consider a table that can be expanded.......maybe a round that opens to an oval. That way you can accommodate more guests when required.

Here is the dining room without the table.

Hides are typically placed under a lounge seating area, not a dining table area.

Thank you

Can you do a hide under a breakfast nook?

A good thing about pedestal tables is that you can always squeeze more people around the table without someone having to straddle a leg

What is the room size?

It's 9 ft by 9ft
