Most likely the cultivar 'Jan Bos'. But I sometimes find that descriptions of flower colors can be misleading.......this is really more of a deep cerise or cherry pink color rather than a true red.

I am patiently wating for started bulbs to be available here.......actually maybe somewhat impatiently :-) I always purchase started hyacinths to bloom indoors and scent my entire room, often several times a season!! They get planted outside after they finish blooming but nothing can compare to having a flowering hyacinth indoors in midwinter!!!

(I don't care for a lot of highly fragrant flowers indoors so no paperwhites or Oriental lilies or gardenias.....much too cloying. But hyacinths, freesias or sweet peas.........bring 'em on!!)

I REALLY Hope it's NOT Pink as that is a Colour that I REALLY DIS-LIKE!!!!

Me too :-)) But this is a very deep pink bordering on red......it just has no orange tones to it at all so not a scarlet red color, like a Red Apeldoorn tulip.

Wait until it is fully open. I doubt you'll see it as really red.

btw Morrison's is brilliant for cheap flowering bulbs. If you have trouble forcing or accommodating bulbs they're a good back up. Their tete a tetes are always a useful resource in the gloomy days of early spring if you feel you you should have planted more or you have gaps.
