That sconce will not provide you with very much light. What is your ceiling lighting situation?

only one ceiling light 10 ft away- it way over by the shower. That is what I am afraid of with a scone.... I need light!

I love the light as well but it is not nearly enough lighting for the space. You should add 1 pot light in the ceiling above each sink. Have the pot lights and the wall light on separate switches to create the mood and dont forget dimmers

One concern I might have with putting a can light directly over the sink is that the shadowing on the person's face will be horrible. If you do can lighting shift them to the center of the bathroom to fill the space with light. Sconces are ideal because it gives light directly to the face (think of a makeup mirror) but with 36" mirrors you are kind of stuck only have a center sconce like pictured above. Can you switch the mirrors out for smaller ones to allow for sconces on each side of the mirrors for more light?

We are almost finished with our bathroom remodel. For lighting, we have single sconces and overhead lights. I would also recommend undercabinet lighting if you have any room for it - it is really nice to have the soft glow by your feet when you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night instead of turning on an overhead light. Dimmers are a must as Danielle said. If you get LED lights, get ones with a warmer hue or dim-to-warm bulbs because standard LED lights will make you look completely washed out, very unflattering.

Thank you! Danielle I did switch out my mirrors for that reason! Heather, I love your bathroom! My vanities are not open in the bottom like youra for lighting .. I’ll have to see if I can do that - great idea! Thank you everyone! They are coming tomorrow at 9am to demolish the old bathroom!

If there is any kind of toekick (which is typical for a bathroom vanity) they should be able to run lighting down there. We have it in our kitchen and it’s not open on the bottom, just has a regular toekick. It was pretty inexpensive since the electricians were there anyway.
