Phoenix Perennials is the only place I am aware of and I believe that Four Winds Growers out of California is their supplier.

You could of course always grow from seed, but if you're looking for varieties that aren't sold at the supermarket, you'll have to find a source of fresh seeds, since older seeds that have been sitting around for a while most often are not viable.

You might also need a small indoor grow tent to grow from seed, since seedlings can be more difficult. (helps hold in humidity and a bit of warmth too)

I've been very surprised at what varieties I can find here at the local market sometimes (even though it's pretty seasonal), but you may not be so lucky.

There's a guy in Toronto who sells lots of citrus... Check out Greenscape... Just make sure you pay via paypal or something that you can cancel your order and get your money back... He's a bit of a hit and miss. I've heard of people not getting orders from him, fortunately, I got mine.

There is also a place in Quebec that has citrus and ships them across Canada too.

I think it's called brugmansia-Quebec.... This guy is a bit more pricey but quick, reliable and has healthy plants.

There's also Phoenix Perennials out of BC, never ordered from them so no info but, his citrus catalogue is quite impressive.

I think I might checkout some of these Quebec ones in spring, i read that flora exotica carries satsumas. That could be interesting.

Let us know what you get and how it does. Lots of people on here can help/guide... and everyone likes photos. If you decide not to get citrus online, I've noticed many local nurseries carry citrus now so maybe check out a few plant/tree shops in your area in Spring/Summer and they might have something. I've seen citrus in Toronto randomly at Canadian tire and small Ma and Pa nurseries. On the down side, usually they have common citrus or very vague names (Meyer Lemon and Orange is what I see most.... nobody ever knows what the orange is lol...oh and calamondins...)

Four Winds is one of the best, sadly no shipping to CAN. In my experience the prices they want online vs the plant you receive are not worth it. If there is a local nursery near you I'd check them out first. If you have no other choice I'd say just go for it. I'm in the greater Toronto area and they are a few good places to get citrus here. If you ever make a road trip out here let us know!

In Oct I found, satsuma, blood oranges, xshu mandarin? whatever that one is. Recently picked up a Washington Navel Orange at a local nursery last summer. That one was hard to find.

Matt, if you want a specific variety of tree, then you pay the price. Actually, their prices are pretty good compared to others here in the US for the size of pot and age. The shipping is what costs so much, not the tree. If you watch the youtube video on what a citrus nursery does in Africa, then you will think you have gotten a bargain because it's so labor intensive. I have purchased from Four Winds Growers many times and paid about $75 a tree because of the shipping. I pay the outrageous price because the varieties available locally to choose from is poor. Every year the same varieties are found and I have them already. Not only that, the trees found at the big box stores are not on a dwarf rootstock.

My main concern with local nurseries is they're usually very limited in product. Again, once in awhile you'll see a unique tree randomly... Such as Canadian Tire in Toronto with satsuma...

I'm surprised you found blood oranges... Because I went to several nurseries... Called some and tried to get them to order a blood orange for me... None of them did. Some were dumb enough to tell me to just grow it from seed... Sometimes I'm shocked at the people that work at a garden store... Very limited knowledge... Sometimes I think of getting a part time job just got fun and discounted plants haha.
