Hi,

We painted our front door Benjamin Moore Calypso Blue and I am just not sure on the color with the stone and color of our house. I like the thought of color and would love suggestions.

Thanks!

Marcy

Hi Marcy, Congrats on your new door color! What's the brand and model of the door entry set? Emtek ? The deadbolt trim seems to be a bit not aligned. :)

As you enter into the house, does your front door color coordinate with the interior of your home? I always like a smooth transition. of color upon my entering.

color is great but the sidelights shouldn't be the blue they would look better white like the trim

I'm not sure the brand of the door entry set, but I agree, the deadbolt is off. :) The painter is coming back to fix it and I was planning to have the trim around the door in the window painted as well. Our interior colors I would describe as coastal- cream, gray, with some light turquoise and blues.

Hi Marcy, your current blue looks nice. Here are some other colors, just for your reference. :)

It's fantastic! I'd do all the framing around the door to match, leaving the "lights" (windows) to have their say.

I like the blue. I am thinking of doing something similar. I feel like there are so many gray houses with red doors.

Love the blue, undecided about whether the side lites should be white or blue.

Hi Marcy, your photos are very nice. Especially the second photo, prominently featuring the front door, is excellent to help visualize other color ideas.

Thanks Ed for all the suggestions! Seeing the color on the door is great. I think the teal or loch blue are my favorites. Another color I considered originally was a soft yellow with the gray.

Uh oh, now that I see the loch blue I really really like that. I like that red and black doors too but I find them so common - the blues are really different! But I've changed my mind from calypso to loch!

Hi Marcy! Great house and nice choice! I would agree with someone who suggested Not to paint the sidelights the same blue, but leave the trim color. If you are not happy, you might want to explore a more slate deep blue. Something such as BM HC- 159 Philipsburg Blue. I do think blues are the way to go , though, NOT any of those reds, burgundy colors as you stated you have blues inside.Best of luck!
