Wow, that's awesome! This is how sports start (read about sports HERE). That is a shoot of 'Krimson Princess', so I'm betting that the plant, way back when, was 'KP' and reverted back to an all-green carnosa. I can't tell you how many I've started from reverted 'KP' vines over the years... They are very vigorous growers, whereas plain carnosa grows slowly for me.

Visited my mother yesterday and passed on the info and she said she seems to remember it being pinkish waaaay back when it was just a small plant. She really appreciated having her question answered so thanks so much. Apparently it first belonged to her aunt and then was passed to my grandmother and then to my mother. I took a better picture of the whole plant to share.

very beautiful plant I have a very small Hoya that I bought that half is green and half variegated like yours. I took a tip cutting of the variegated and so far it still variegated even after a year of growing.
