  • Beth (5b - Mid-Michigan)

Saija, Montana Aureomarginata took a few years to show her beauty but now I often stop and admire her. Also I love your Mieke, might need to add it to the list.

  • peren.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada

Nice eye candy for a freezing cold Monday, it is nearly -40 with the wind chill. No need to convert that since C & F meet at this point. Brrrrrr!

    montana Aureomarginata

Maple Leaf in need of separating.

Miss Linda Smith - a real favorite.

Mystic Star - really like the changes this one goes through.

Mourning Dove I read somewhere that it can be slow to establish but that's not been my experience with it. Went from 3 to 5 eyes in 1 yr.

Whew! I was worried for a minute there that you only had one pic to post Sunnywood. Such a beautiful collection. Love your Maui Buttercups and confirmed that I need for Magic Fire.

  • nicholsworth Z6 Indianapolis

I like everyone's Marilyn Monroe and Marrakech..they must be good hosta since most of you have these..

peren..it's cold here too..3°F (-16.111°C)..I hate it..Miss Linda Smith is very attractive!

I have a couple of Montana Aureomarginatas..I moved them because I wanted only solids where they were..pic#1 might have a glimpse of one on the right (light margins)..

I use this area for homeless hosta..a variegated with dark margins on the left..sharing to show the Northern Sea Oats..a great ground cover for me..

  • Laura z4b / Helsinki, Finland

Sorry about repetition, these three seem to be quite popular... :D

    Magic Island

    Miss Suzy

  • sandyslopes z5b n. UT

Nice "Ms" everyone! Lots of them, too. I've always liked Marrakech.

Makes me wish I didn't lose my montana Aureomarginata and Magic Fire. Hostas are not forgiving of too little water.

peren.all, way too cold! January is a tough month for a lot of us. More snow for us today.

Laura, repetition is fine. I think we all like to see how the same hosta looks in different situations and different stages of growth. I know I do.

    Moonstruck

    Maui Buttercups

    Moon Split

Sunnywood, love your Mountain Snow, mine was so tiny it didn't make it through the first winter, I must try and find another.

Must find Marilyn Monroe too, nice.

  • old_dirt

Just one decent M to show. A couple others destroyed by rabbits.

Majesty, HL says "identical to Liberty?" ...ya think?

  • don_in_colorado

    Moonlight Sonata

  • windymess z6a KC, Ks

I really do regret passing on Moonlight Sonata last year.

I have a few M's. No good pictures of Minuteman, mostly because he spent all summer fighting off an army of rabbits! But here are a some others:

    m. Aureomarginata, planted 2017

    Manhattan, also planted 2017

Mourning Dove, planted 2017 as well. And Mae - I agree, MD does not seem to be slow at all in my garden... however the two above are quite slow.

  • Shadow -4A-NB Canada

    Moon split

    Midwest Magic

    Montana Aureomarginata

  • newhostalady Z6 ON, Canada

  • don_in_colorado

    Mister Watson

  • hostas_for_barb

Newhostalady - really like your Marilyn Monroe!

  • newhostalady Z6 ON, Canada

For me, Maui Buttercups stands out. Beth, yours is small, and cute at that stage. It has the rounded leaves and even a bit of corrugation! Yours, sunnywood, looks quite large. Lovely. Sandyslopes nice photography on your Maui Buttercups! Great Maui Buttercups mbug!

Montana Aureomarginata---well I'm afraid to buy that one. It's just too early a riser in spring!

I can see why you love Mieke, Saija! I am not sure it's readily available here in Canada unfortunately.

I love big leaved hostas so tiddisolo's and sunnywood's Magic Fire along with Mountain Snow really attract my eye! So does ConnieMay's Miss Tokoyo (especially with water drops)! And old_dirt's Majesty. I had that one, but lost it.

Peren.all, Miss Linda Smith, is so pretty! You captured it beautifully!

Karin, you captured Medusa in its fall colors---so pretty! Love your collection of hostas!

Mountainyman, your montana f macrophylla is huge!

  • Claudia _michigan

Hi Nicole ... omg I didn’t post all of the plants but I got a lot of plants for .99 cents at the end of the season and the best is that give me 1 year warranty. So even if they do not come back in Spring I can return them.
