Is there any other room where you can use the rug? To make it fit the room, the pattern is running in the wrong direction and the white accent is just too white.

I would suggest this color for the accent color, giving consideration to the wall color and the headboard:

Hayneedle bedside tables:

The rug can leave, the bedding has to stay.

I like the bedding to relate to a fabric headboard.

Wish you had said in your post that the bedding was a constant.
