Pricing is going to vary depending on the brand your looking at and type of "faux wood" material but that sounds reasonable given the number of windows. That only a $20 difference per window which is right about the difference our composite faux wood blinds vs. real wood blinds run.

Personally, I would stick w/ the wood blinds. We had faux blinds in the past and they didn't last very long. We had to replace them. Now all we have are wood blinds upstairs and wood plantation shutters downstairs.

I have faux wood throughout my house for almost 5 years and it looks as good as the day they were installed. 4 windows have direct (hot) sun hitting them most of the day.

We have faux wood from select blinds—13 years later they still look grear

Interesting- I also would have assumed a bigger price difference. We had faux wood (Lowe's brand and Home Depot brand so these were not the high end ones) in our previous home for well over 10 years and they were totally fine. I think another reason I preferred them other than the cost, was that they were lighter weight so raising them was less of an issue. (though we rarely raised or lowered them. we mostly used the tilt )
