Dust mites? I doubt it, maybe spider mites?

What methods did you try? Your plants may have died because of over watering.

The attraction of mites to English ivy cultivars is so strong that many of us simply won't deal with it. If someone were to give me a pretty container of ivy to use as a houseplant, I'd toss it right away rather than expose my other plants to the scourge of the spider mites.

English ivy becomes an invasive pest when planted outside in my location......so, not allowed inside or outside at my house.
