sofa and recliner makeover

have a sofa and 2 recliners that have wear and tear but are still in great shape. what is the best way to do a make over. I am overwhelmed with all the slip covers available. i have also heard you can now paint furniture? please help

I have painted several pieces and am a huge fan of it however I don't think yours is a good candidate for that because the fabric is not tight. Your furniture I made such that the fabric sags. If you paint the fabric on your pieces the paint will crack.

The cost of reupholstering an outdated couch greatly outweighs buying a new sofa. You probably can’t even sell it. There is NO market for an overstuffed sofa.
